Destination: Park9 (Fenway Location)

Destination Spotlight: Park-9 Fenway – A City Adventure for the TrioAfter a great visit to Park-9’s Everett location, we couldn’t resist checking out their newer spot—especially with a name like Fenway! So, the Trio packed up for a city adventure right into the heart of Boston.

Tucked along bustling Boylston Street, Park-9 Fenway offers a unique, seasonal, all-outdoor setup that we didn’t realize from the website. But once we arrived, it was easy to see the appeal, especially for those living in the city. It’s an urban oasis where dogs can play off-leash while their humans sip drinks and soak up the summer vibes.

With the promise of pups, cocktails, and community, we were excited to see what all the hype was about—and this spot definitely brings something fun and different to the Boston dog scene.

Getting There: A Bit of a HustleLet’s start with the obvious—parking is a challenge. There is no dedicated parking for this location, which made arrival a little tricky, especially with three dogs. Your options are limited to on-street parking (if you're lucky) or paying for a nearby garage. After circling a few times, we snagged a street spot—not bad, but definitely something to keep in mind if you’re coming with multiple pups.

The Setup: Smaller, Seasonal, But Clean and FriendlyThis location is smaller than its Everett counterpart, but it’s clean, well-kept, and thoughtfully laid out. The entire space is outdoors and enclosed, allowing dogs to play off-leash in a safe environment. There are a few small splash pools for pups to cool off and plenty of seating scattered around for the humans.

What really stood out was the friendly and engaged staff—they took the time to ask about each dog by name, interacted playfully with the pups, and genuinely seemed invested in their experience. It made the space feel welcoming and community-oriented.

What’s on the Menu? There’s a pop-up bar offering a small cocktail menu for humans, and some adorable add-ons for the pups like dog beer (flavored water), pup cigars (jerky), and pup cups. While there’s no food available on-site for humans, they provide a QR code linked to a local eatery that will deliver. Just note: all food must be eaten outside the off-leash area. A separate picnic area with high tops and tables makes that easy.

Games & BathroomsThe designated dining area also includes lawn games like Cornhole, Jenga, and Giant Chess, adding a fun, social vibe to the outing. One downside? The

bathroom situation consists of portable toilets. Not ideal, but manageable if you plan ahead.

Cost & Entry RequirementsEntry to Park-9 Fenway is $10 per dog, and humans are free. Before your visit, be sure to register online or bring proof of vaccinations—all dogs must be fully vaccinated and spayed/neutered if over one year old.

Final Thoughts: Fenway vs. EverettWhile we enjoyed the energy of this city-based spot, Everett still holds the crown. It offers dedicated parkingindoor and outdoor spaces, onsite food, and—yes—real bathrooms. The Fenway location feels more like a charming pop-up patio than a full dog bar, but for a casual afternoon out with your pup in the city, it hits the mark.

Would We Go Back?Yes—if we're already in the area. The dogs had a blast, the space was clean, and the staff made us feel welcome. We would not go out of our way to return and would be more likely to head to Everett for a great Park 9 experience.
